Most electronic cigarette users initially purchase starter kits that contain a battery, USB charger and are of several different types of systems listed below:

Examples of this type of kit are the Joyetech 510, eGo. These provide the compact size and have components that are readily available such as the replacement atomizers, cartridges and batteries. These cartridges can come pre filled in a variety of flavors usually tobacco flavors or empty so you can fill them yourself from the e-liquid bottles available in a variety of flavors. This system is very economical and provides a medium amount of warm vapor with great taste. They are also upgradable by matching the batteries with separate devices like clearomizers and will work with a variety of other 510 devices. However, the chargers and batteries are not interchangeable between Joyetech 510 and Joyetech eGo devices.

Examples of this are the Joyetech 510-T, eGo-T, eGo-C, eCab, eRoll. These system utilize an atomizer to vaporize the e-liquid and a tank to store the liquid. The tanks are generally bought empty and are refilled using e-liquid bottles in a variety of flavors. These are economical to operate and they produce a thick cooler vapor that's easy on the throat and provides great taste. They are also upgradable by matching the batteries with separate devices like clearomizers and will work with a variety of other 510 / eGo devices.
